New Patients
Our Promise to Every New Patient
We'll listen before we treat.
We'll explain our findings in plain English.
We'll answer your questions honestly.
We'll recommend only the care we believe you need.
If chiropractic isn't the right fit, we'll help guide you to the right provider.
Your First Visit
What to Expect at Your First Appointment
Whether you're dealing with back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, a sports injury, or you've recently been in a car accident, choosing a new healthcare provider can feel like a big decision.
Many new patients wonder:
- Will they actually listen to me?
- Will they explain what's causing my pain?
- Will I get treatment today?
- What if chiropractic isn't the right treatment for me?
Our goal is to understand what's causing your symptoms, explain your treatment options, and create a personalized plan that helps you move better and feel your best.
Before Your Appointment
To make your visit as smooth as possible, we recommend completing your new patient forms online before you arrive. If you prefer, you can complete them in our office.
Please arrive about 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow time for check-in and any remaining paperwork.
If you have previous X-rays, MRI reports, or other medical records related to your condition, bring them with you if they're available.
We Start by Listening
Every patient has a different story.
We'll take time to understand:
- What brought you in
- When your symptoms started
- How your condition affects your work, hobbies, sleep, and daily activities
- Previous injuries or treatments
- Your health goals
A Thorough Evaluation
Your examination is designed to answer one important question:
"Why are you hurting?"
Depending on your symptoms, your evaluation may include:
- Posture assessment
- Movement assessment
- Orthopedic testing
- Neurological testing
- Range of motion evaluation
- Spinal and joint examination
We'll Explain What We Find
One of the things patients tell us most often is:
"No one has ever explained what's actually causing my pain."
We believe understanding your condition is an important part of your recovery.
We'll review your examination findings, explain what may be contributing to your symptoms, answer your questions, and discuss the treatment options that are most appropriate for you.
Will I Receive Treatment During My First Visit?
In many cases, yes.
If your examination shows chiropractic care is appropriate and there are no concerns requiring additional testing or referral, treatment may begin during your first appointment.
If another healthcare provider, imaging study, or different treatment approach would better meet your needs, we'll explain our recommendations and help guide you toward the right care.
Your Treatment Plan
No two patients are exactly alike.
Some people benefit from chiropractic adjustments alone.
Others recover best with a combination of chiropractic care, massage therapy, rehabilitation exercises, and other supportive therapies.
Every recommendation is based on your condition, your goals, and how your body responds to treatment.
Because the right treatment starts with the right diagnosis.
