Office Manager Wendy is the Office Manager and Front Desk Coordinator at Bilan Chiropractic. She was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. She moved to Anchorage in August 2005 looking for adventure. Wendy loves all the outdoor activities that Alaska has to offer. She got married in September 2008 and she and her husband are enjoying newlywed life. As a professional, she provides contract work to outside businesses including billing, accounts receivable and account payable services.
In August 2009, Wendy graduated from Charter College in the Medical Management Program, focusing on Coding and Billing. She is very personable, competent and loves working with and meeting new people. Her energetic and friendly demeanor gives each individual a sense of belonging at Bilan Chiropractic. Her clever wit and sense of humor provides additional enjoyment to your visit. She enjoys helping people and is committed to ensuring each patient’s comfort during their visit.
Wendy is very strong in her faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She is an active member and enjoys serving others through that capacity. She attributes her growth to her experience at Bilan Chiropractic and more specifically to Dr. Bilan himself. Business Office Consultant Christie is our independent business consultant and owner of Assured Business Services. She has over ten years' insurance billing and collections experience.
In May of 2004 she graduated with an accounting degree from UAA and took her business of six years to a new level. Christie was employed with Bilan Chiropractic for over two years and ventured out to pursue her business in January of 2006.
Presently Christie is assisting our business office with providing the utmost efficiency in processing difficult insurance, personal injury and worker's compensation disputes. She is here to help you and fine tune Bilan Chiropractic's expediency in resolving all your insurance consideration/ problems. She is a wonderful and effective resource in resolving all of your concerns and making you feel comfortable in receiving the care that you need at Bilan Chiropractic.
Chiropractic Assistant Rachel is a Chiropractic Assistant for Bilan Chiropractic. She enjoys being a part of the Bilan Chiropractic team which allows her to work with the public, getting to know the patients and hearing about their new and exciting adventures. She also enjoys seeing the smiles on the patient’s faces as they feel better from one visit to the next.
Rachel was born in Anchorage and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska. She recently moved back to Anchorage to explore more of Alaska and enjoy life. Rachel is outgoing and loves to make people laugh, which makes her a great fit for the Bilan team. She enjoys being around family and friends, writing, reading and doing outside activities such as camping and hiking.
Rachel looks forward to the Alaskan seasons. She enjoys summer for the camping, hiking, biking and merely just being outside and the winters for snowboarding, playing in the snow and spotting all the moose she can.
Chiropractic Assistant Jenelle Garvey is the Business Administrator at Bilan Chiropractic. In August of 2008, she graduated from the University of Anchorage Alaska with an Associate’s Degree in Arts and Science. Jenelle has always had an interest in the medical field so after graduating from UAA she continued her education at the Career Academy, completing the Insurance Coding and Billing program.
Jenelle has over two years of experience working with insurance companies, with an increased focus on billing and accounts receivables. She has found great satisfaction and enjoyment in the learning opportunities insurance billing has presented her with.
Jenelle has lived in Alaska most of her life and enjoys the comfortable and relaxed living Alaska has to provide. She looks forward to working with patients and answering any questions they may have about their account. Her ability to promptly and efficiently process claims will provide added ease to your visits at Bilan Chiropractic.
Chiropractic Assistant Andie administers the Physical Therapy at Bilan Chiropractic. She was born and raised in Alaska and is currently a student at the University of Alaska Anchorage working towards her Bachelor’s Degree in Science. Her ultimate goal is a career in Radiologic Technology. Andie has always known that she’d be a part of the health field and she’s thrilled to begin her journey at Bilan Chiropractic. She enjoys being a part of and witnessing the positive progression of people’s health and well being while they are here.
Andie loves the Alaskan summers and takes full advantage of the midnight sun. She keeps an energetic lifestyle with many activities, but particularly enjoys hiking, camping, biking, golfing and Frisbee golf. In addition, she is a movie fanatic, amateur photographer and enjoys attempting to cook and play guitar. In the future, she would like to do some traveling and wouldn’t mind living where the sun isn’t so modest. She is committed to making your visits at Bilan Chiropractic beneficial and worthwhile.
Licensed Massage Therapist Jane was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska and graduated from West High School in 1993. She is now raising a family of her own. Growing up in Alaska and participating in sports can be tough and after a skiing accident, Jane was introduced to sports massage in the healing process and was astounded by the results.
As a result, Jane completed a 750 hour massage course at Cedar Mountain Center for Massage in Vancouver, WA in 1998. She studied Eastern and Western modalities as well as completing an internship at an oncology center. For over 10 years now, Jane has been practicing massage at preferred day spas around Anchorage. She has furthered her studies with continuing educational courses in Hot Stone Therapy and somatic release. Massage Therapy has been part of Jane’s life since she was 18. She has personally seen how massage treatments can assist in healing and rejuvenation the body.
Jane has studied many different healing techniques of massage and she can customize each massage for the individual’s needs and level. Swedish, Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release are some of the modalities she practices. Jane believes “the learning never stops -- it is constantly evolving.”
Licensed Massage Therapist Lara was born in Anchorage, AK and has lived her entire life in Alaska. She has lived in Dutch Harbor, Kodiak, and Chugiak, but has settled in Anchorage. Lara graduated from West High School.
She attended the Alaska Learning Institute which included courses such as anatomy, physiology, Swedish massage and sports massage. She then furthered her education at the Oriental Healing Arts Center. She has completed over 1100 hours of massage therapy education. In 2008, Lara increased her education by attending the Sports Medicine Hospital in Beijing, China for a 2 week course. Lara decided to become a massage therapist because she has experienced first hand the benefits and desires to help others get the same relief. Lara has worked in a local gym as well as a day spa.
Lara's hobbies include hiking, painting, snowboarding and reading. Lara is dedicated and finds great satisfaction in helping each client through their individual needs.
